Colombian Coffee Tasting with CMC’s Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement
An Inside Look Into Coffee Cultivation with Leandro Galindo Giraldo
Wednesday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. PT
Ever wonder how a day in the life of a coffee farmer unfolds? Join the CMC community as we travel to Bogotá, Colombia and meet Leandro Galindo Giraldo. Leandro is a third-generation coffee grower and works with farmers in the region of Pitalito, to ensure their clients receive the best quality coffee at a price that is fair to not only the consumers but to the families that grow it as well. Through the course of the hour, you will learn tips on how to expertly brew your daily coffee and have the opportunity to ask Leandro any questions you might have concerning your cup of joe!
We will send you all of the supplies that you need to attend this tasting! You will receive a Trio Coffee Tasting Package that includes one 8.8 oz. bag of each of the following: Pink Bourbon variety bag; Caturra variety bag; and Castillo Tambo variety bag. Coffee beans are single sourced and roasted specifically for this event. To participate in this event, you must register by January 27th.

Mystery Box Program
We’re excited to announce that we are going to amplify the Mystery Box Program. We’re working to offer more boxes over the semester and to continue the goal of making sure that every student that is interested in a box gets one. The first Mystery Box will launch this week, so keep an eye out for an email inviting you to join and get subscribed to your favorite slimers on social media now to prepare.
We’re looking to help you and your friends connect virtually, in ways that work for you! If you are interested in hosting something engaging for you and your friends, let us know, we can help!
Set up a time to talk with us about your ideas!
We may be apart this semester, but we are beyond excited to find new ways to bring this community together in the coming months!
“I believe an enduring success in these unprecedented times will be the powerful memories students create by connecting creatively and deeply with one another despite their distance apart.”
